Woods conjures searing gestures from bowed sheet metal, electric violin, mandolin, and a nest of tabletop devices; David Collins supplies a backbone of roiling modular synthesis textures; and Christopher Burns brings digital chaos and shattered beats. Recorded in the studio at the close of their May 2019 tour of the Upper Midwest, “The Buster Keaton Maneuver” is four tightly-wound bursts of electricity: half-scream, half-celebration.
