The debut physical album from Milwaukee's tampertamper perfectly encapsulates the wide ranging and ramshackle musical range of the project. Drawing on sources that range from the tape warble of Aaron Dilloway, the emo-ambient musings of claire rousay, and the overly sincere lo-fi pop of The Moldy Peachers, tampertamper expertly welds these disparate sources together to create a wholly unique musical practice. No/longer/applicable draws the listener in over and over again, creating the feeling that you just found someone's diary or a microcassette filled with random musings thought of throughout the day. But subtle (and not so subtle) moments of audio manipulation quietly jolt you out of that illusion, drawing one's attention to the carefully crafted nature of intimacy in the contemporary moment.
